Reciting Gita in Spanish and Sanskrit, Srinivas and NonellBhagavad Gita recited in Spanish (Pedro Nonell, Spanish) and Sanskrit with music (Dr Ghazal Srinivas, India)Dr Ghazal Srinivas is a Ghazal singer, percussionist, author, actor and activist. He holds a Guinness World Record for the most number of languages sung. He is a propagator of Mahatma Gandhi's message of Ahimsa and peace. He recorded an album “The Way of Mahatma Gandhi” singing 125 songs in 125 languages of the world (65 Indian languages and 60 foreign languages). He is now embarking on a new project: reciting/singing the Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit and several languages including Spanish. As you know, I have been invited to participate in this fascinating project with Dr. Ghazal Srinivas from India. We are working on the project, I recite the verses of the Bhagavad Gita in Spanish, based on the translation I made of the Gita according to Gandhi and I send them to the recording studio in India of Dr. Ghazal Srinivas where they mix it with the music and the recitation in Sanskrit. In this small sample you can hear two verses from the chapter on Bhakti Yoga. I am amazed when I hear my voice with the Gita in Sanskrit and this illuminating music… Spread it as much as you want! After knowing about my Spanish translation of the “Bhagavad Gita Upanishad according to Gandhi” he contacted me to collaborate on this project. We have reached a collaboration agreement whereby I will provide him with this translation of the Gita free of charge and I will recite the verses in Spanish. The Spanish recordings will be made in Spain and sent to India to be mixed with the Sanskrit recitation and music of Dr Ghazal Srinivas. I have had the opportunity to listen to Chapter 5 - The Yoga of Renunciation of Action (Karma Sannyasa Yoga) in Sanskrit and English and it is wonderful, with the endearing, deep and harmonious voice of Dr. Ghazal Srinivas you enter a new spiritual dimension of the Bhagavad Gita. It is interesting to note that he sings in Telugu, and precisely the Telugu Association of Spain gave me an award for the second translation I have done: the Gita Makaranadam by Swami Vidya Prakashananda. I am passionate about this project, thank you Dr Ghazal Srinivas for inviting me to participate! Jay Krishna! Pedro Nonell (Director of the Gita Institute).
