He was a key figure in the introduction of Vedanta, the Bhagavad Gita and Raja Yoga (Yoga philosophy) to the West (Parliament of Religions of Chicago), the renewal of Hinduism, as well as the development of the idea of nationalism in colonial India. We could summarize Swami Vivekananda's vision in three points:

India: spiritual power of the world The Swami's desire was the liberation of humanity from ignorance and the promotion of a fraternal sentiment among the different religions and nations of the world as well as combining Western science with Eastern spirituality for the good of humanity.
