My Master Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa by Swami Vivekananda
Swami Vivekananda met Sri Ramakrishna in 1881, and asked him:
«Master, have you seen God?»
Sri Ramakrishna's response was:
«Yes, I see God as I see you here, only much more intensely.
Thou can know God, you can see God and talk to Him like I'm seeing you and
talking to you, but who cares?
People shed torrents of tears for wives, children, wealth or prosperity, but who
sheds tears for God?
God manifests Himself with complete certainty to everyone who cries for Him» Sri
