Course: Realization of the Bhagavad Gita. Teachings Sri Ramakrishna Swami Vivekananda. Vedanta

The main objective of the Realization of the Principles of the Bhagavad Gita Course taught by the Gita Institute is to analyze how the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita influenced the lives of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.

  1. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa (Bhakta inside, Jnana outside), the prophet of interfaith harmony, the man who saw God and the initiator of the reform of Hinduism
  2. Swami Vivekananda (Swamiji), his disciple, a man who went from being an agnostic to a philosopher (Jnani), a devotee (Bhakta) and a Karma Yogi. After traveling as a Sannyasin for several years in India, he went as a simple monk to the Parliament of the World's Religions and during his years in the United States and England, he made the Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta or Raja-Yoga known to the West, starting the global expansion of Yoga

This advanced training is the conclusion of the other four courses (Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Dhyana Yoga and Jnana Yoga which contain the essence of the true Yoga Philosophy), when the seeker has felt and known these paths, he will be in a position to understand how these two spiritual geniuses made the sublime teachings of the Bhagavad Gita their own.

Knowing the life of these two extraordinary holy men will allow the seeker to know how to apply the principles of the Bhagavad Gita in their own life.

Swami Vivekananda met Sri Ramakrishna in 1881, and asked him:

«Master, have you seen God?»

Sri Ramakrishna's response was:

Sri Ramakrishna who sheds tears for God? Swami Vivekananda

«Yes, I see God as I see you here, only much more intensely. Thou can know God, you can see God and talk to Him like I'm seeing you and talking to you, but who cares?

People shed torrents of tears for wives, children, wealth or prosperity, but who sheds tears for God?

God manifests Himself with complete certainty to everyone who cries for Him» Sri Ramakrishna.

Knowledge leads to Unity, Ignorance to Diversity (Sri Ramakrishna)
