Sri Sarada Devi (The Holy Mother) was the spiritual consort of , born in 1853 in a poor Brahmin family in Jayrambati, very close to Kamarpukur.
When Sri Sarada Devi was barely six years old, she married Sri Ramakrishna, according to Indian custom, but continued to live in her parents” house, since Sri Ramakrishna, in addition to being a Sannyasin, was literally intoxicated by God living in Dakshineshwar.
Only until the Holy Mother was 18 years old did she meet the Master, leading the “spiritual marriage” a totally pure life (Childhood-death of Ramakrishna)

Sri Sarada Devi was considered by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa as a manifestation of the Divine Mother of the universe. Thus when her first devotees arrived, she considered them as her own children. The Holy Mother was considered the Mother of all beings, including animals.
After the death of Sri Ramakrishna in 1886 (Mahasamadhi), The Holy Mother led the Sangha, that is, the Ramakrishna Mission community founded by Swami Vivekananda.
