In Chapter 2 of the Bhagavad Gita (Sankhya Yoga), Sri Krishna explains to Arjuna the difference between body (not self) and Atman the Higher Self, the spiritual soul), the body dies, Atman is immortal. Verse 22 is one of the most quoted in the Bhagavad Gita:
