Karma Yogi by Swami Vivekananda (Gita 3-7)Control of the senses with the mind, Work without attachment (Karma Yogi, Bhagavad Gita)Three characteristics of the Karma Yogi in the Bhagavad Gita:Sri Krishna: «But those Karma Yogis who control their senses with the mind, O Arjuna, and engage their active senses in working without attachment, are certainly superior» Bhagavad Gita 3-7 Yoga of Action - Karma Yoga (Swami Vivekananda)
Swami Vivekananda referred to this verse from the Bhagavad Gita thus: «But no one can achieve peace by renouncing actions (Karma Sannyasa Yoga). No one in this life can stop activity even for a moment. The
qualities of nature [Gunas]] will make him act. He who stops his activities and
at the same time continues thinking about them, achieves nothing; he only
becomes a hypocrite. It is impossible to live without acting, we all breathe and that is already an action. On the path of Karma Yoga, it is also necessary to work for the good of humanity. Sri Krishna: «Just as the unenlightened perform all actions with attachment, the enlightened man should act without attachment, desiring the welfare of humanity» Bhagavad Gita 3-25 And these could be the characteristics of someone who follows Karma Yoga: control of the senses, detachment and working for the good of humanity. Thus the Karma Yogi can purify his mind. Once purified, the Bhagavad Gita proposes meditation (Dhyana Yoga) to realize Atman (Self-knowledge).
