Sri Ramakrishna: Brahman is also ShaktiHe who is without attributes is also with attributes. He who is Brahman is also Shakti (Ramakrishna)Realization of the Bhagavad Gita Course «He who is without attributes is also with attributes. He who is Brahman is also Shakti. When we conceive of Him as inactive, He is called Brahman, and when we think of Him as Creator, Preserver and Destroyer, He is called the Primordial Energy, Kali. Brahman and Shakti are identical, like fire and its power to burn. When we talk about fire, we are automatically referring to its power to burn. In turn, the power to burn implies the concept of fire. If you accept one you must accept the other. Brahman without attributes we have to understand as the formless aspect of Brahman or Nirguna. When he has attributes and forms he refers to Saguna. It is none other than Brahman who is invoked as Mother, for a mother is always the object of great love. One can realize God through mere love. Fervor, devotion, love and faith: These are the means. Listen to this song: Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa (The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna compiled by M. Gupta) From this verse we also deduce Sri Ramakrishna's principle of harmony between religions.
