Philosophy and Paths of Yoga Workshop: Karma Yoga (Philosophy of the Path of Selfless Action and purification of the mind) Workshop: Dhyana Yoga (Meditation) and Bhakti Yoga (Philosophy of the Path of Devotion) Workshop: Jnana Yoga (the complex and difficult Path of Knowledge, the Yoga of the highest philosophy: All is one) Workshop: Realization of the Bhagavad Gita. Teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. Download workshops brochure (PDF) Duration of each workshop: 4 hours
The seminars are related sequentially, from least to greatest depth in relation to the Bhagavad Gita: Given the time limitation of the Workshop format, these should be considered introductory. The study of the Bhagavad Gita and the philosophy of Yoga is very complex, it takes many years of study and meditation for a person to be able to do it in their life. It would be impossible in the short duration of these seminars to either attempt to transmit or assimilate this infinite ocean of wisdom. «Help restore Knowledge in the West by eliminating ignorance with the wisdom emanating from the Bhagavad Gita and the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.» To complete this Mission:
The main objective of the Workshops is to make accessible the profound ethical-philosophical-spiritual teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, a Moksha-Shastra, a path of liberation and self-knowledge, so that they can be applicable in our time so that they can be adopted by a person. normal, with family and work obligations. In the Bhagavad Gita, a spiritual heritage of humanity, revealed by Sri Krishna to Arjuna for all of us, the roots of the spiritual dimension of yoga and the philosophy of Yoga are clearly defined. Anyone related to “physical yoga (Asanas)” should know two fundamental works: the Bhagavad Gita of Veda Viasa and the Yoga-Sutras of Patanjali (based on the Shamkya philosophy) if they wish to delve into the ethical-philosophical-spiritual part of the Yoga and give a deeper meaning to the practice of “physical yoga.” Without a doubt, “physical yoga” provides many benefits to the practitioner, but wouldn't they obtain many more if this ethical-philosophical-spiritual component exposed in the Bhagavad Gita was developed and enhanced?. No one knows the profile of its students and their purchasing power better than the yoga center, which is why the center will propose to the speaker the price per participant that it believes is the most convenient based on the profile of its students.
Workshops designed to be taught in any yoga center in the following ways:
They can also be taught in any yoga teacher training program (Yoga Philosophy). The Bhagavad Gita is above all a Moksha Shastra, a book of liberation and self-knowledge, it is ultimately the study of the science of the soul. «A firm conviction about the nature of Atman (self-knowledge), the perception of the goal of knowledge of the Truth. All this is Knowledge and the opposite is ignorance.» Gita 12-13 The East has cultivated the science of Para-Vidya (higher knowledge), while the West, the science of Apara-Vidya. A seminar on the Bhagavad Gita, as a Para-vidya science (higher knowledge), requires a different methodology than any other Apara-vidya subject. Learning the Bhagavad Gita must be based on self-study and self-knowledge (“no one can learn for you”). Arjuna: «By Thy grace, my illusion has been destroyed, my understanding has returned. I am sure, my doubts were dispelled; I will do your will» Bhagavad Gita 18-73 Just as Arjuna faced his inner fears and ignorance, and ended up fighting and winning, so must one approach the study of the Bhagavad Gita. For centuries the Bhagavad Gita has been transmitted both orally and through books. These particularities of the study of the Bhagavad Gita, as a science of Para-vidya, require that these seminars be of an introductory nature. or this reason, all workshops are based on continuous interaction between speaker and participants (Satsang concept), not being based on the concept of “master class.” Given the time limitation, it would be impossible to analyze the 18 chapters of the Bhagavad Gita or its nearly 800 verses. For this reason, priority will be given to the most significant chapters (although in reality all of them are). For each chapter the main themes and certain key verses will be analyzed. When the speaker introduces a key concept from the Bhagavad Gita, he or she will invite one participant (on a rotating basis) to read the related verse, then reflect on its meaning and, moderated by the speaker, discuss it among all. Example of a verse from the Bhagavad Gita read by a participant on a rotating basis. To better understand the complex message of the Bhagavad Gita, explanations from two exceptional spiritual masters are included:
“My master Ramakrishna was all Bhakti on the outside, but all Jnana on the inside; I am all Jnana yes; But my heart is all Bhakti Examples of reflections by Ramakrishna and Vivekananda: Sri Ramakrishna Swami Vivekananda Swami Sivananda Seminar manual and book “The Yoga of Wisdom” Given the complexity of the study of the Bhagavad Gita, participants will previously receive a manual of about 40 pages containing the main explanations of the seminar. It is recommended that you study it before the seminar. The speaker will give the center a PDF manual that can be personalized with the center's logo. The manual can be sent in digital format (PDF) or delivered in print, depending on the center's criteria. In addition, it is possible to include the book: The Yoga of Wisdom (Bhagavad Gita) by Pedro Nonell. Price of the book: 23 Euros. A 30% discount will be applied to this price for the center organizing the seminar. (c) Gita Institute |
