I was introduced to the Bhagavad Gita by my grandfather when I was a child. About 15 years ago I “rediscovered” the Gita, and every time I read it I discovered new pearls of wisdom.

Two years ago I decided to translate the Gita into Spanish, so that all the people who speak Spanish could access to the deep knowledge of the Gita.

Among the many versions of the Bhagavad Gita, I decided on Gandhi's version “Gita according to Gandhi” because himself stated that he wrote it for “women, the commercial class, the so-called Shudras.” and because it was his source of inspiration in his nonviolent struggle for the independence of India, the largest Ahimsa movement in the history of mankind, and served as a model for the pacific independence of many African countries under colonial rule.

Whoever immerses himself in the deep ocean of wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita will discover timeless and universal ethical-spiritual principles: Ahimsa, detachment from the fruit of actions, harmony between religions.. as well as the spiritual dimension of the Science of Yoga and their paths (Dhyana, Karma, Jnana, Bhakti), all valid.

And for this reason, I am convinced that it is a heritage of humanity, regardless of whether one is Hindu, Christian or Muslim.

One of the shlokas that I am most passionate is:

“Whenever there is a decline in righteousness, and a rise in unrighteousness prevails, then do I manifest myself, or Bharata, to save the righteous, to destroy the wicked, and to re-establish the Dharma, I am born from age to age» Bhagavad Gita 4 7-.8

And I also discovered the wise teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa (“Yato mat, tato path, As many faiths, so many paths.”) and Swami Vivekananda, which I also consider to be a heritage of mankind.

All profits from the book will go to promote the Sri Ramakrishna's Principle of Harmony among religions in Africa, especially in the Sahel region, where the clash between Islam and Christianity is once again a serious problem, this will be channeled through EENI Global Business School, of which I am its Director.
