The “Gita Makaranadam”
by Swami Vidya Prakashananda, with the verses in Hindi, English, Spanish
with the verses in Hindi, English, Spanish and extensive comments on each verse
of each chapter. It also includes commentaries by Swami Vivekananda or Sri
Ramakrishna on various verses. It also contains a series of FAQs on the vast
majority of the verses
Gandhi's version is excellent for having an overview of each chapter of the
Bhagavad Gita. Swami Vidya Prakashananda's version allows the seeker to delve
deeper into the wisdom of each shloka of the Bhagavad Gita. Furthermore, the
influence of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda is notable in this version.

In this way the student gets to have a vision of the Bhagavad Gita according
to the different paths of yoga (although in reality everyone followed the four
paths):
Bhakti Yoga. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was one of the greatest Bhakta Yogis of history, He
enlightened others
Jnana Yoga. Swami Vivekananda was one of the great Jnanis and philosophers of humanity. Swami Vidya Prakashananda and Mahadev Desai also
mainly followed this path
Karma Yoga. Gandhi was one of the great Karma Yogis, and
his version of the Bhagavad Gita reflects this. Swami Sivananda also mainly
followed this path
