Bhagavad Gita in Spanish, Free (Gandhi, Nonell)Why offer this Spanish translation of the Gita for free? (Pedro Nonell)
In the last chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga of Liberation Through Renunciation (Moksha Sannyasa Yoga), with a significant title, we find the answer: “He who with supreme devotion in me will teach this profound philosophy to my devotees shall doubtless come to me alone” Bhagavad Gita 18-68 “There is none among men who can do anything more pleasing to Me than he; nor shall there be another on earth dearer to Me than he” Bhagavad Gita 18-69 I believe that the sacred teachings of the Bhagavad Gita are universal and timeless and can help many people, especially in the West, to “Eliminate Ignorance with the Sword of Knowledge.” At this stage of my life, after presiding the EENI Global Business School for more than 30 years, I want to dedicate my time and energy to facilitating access to the knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita as well as the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda
Bhagavad Gita en Español Gratis Several years ago I began the complex task of translating the Gita According to Gandhi into Spanish. As it is a sacred work, I can assure you that I read the translation of each of the nearly 700 verses of the Gita dozens of times, and I also read other versions of the Bhagavad Gita, especially to try to understand the meaning of its verses This translation gave rise to the book “The Yoga of Wisdom”, and is also part of the training I provide through the Gita Institute. Later I translated another version of the Bhagavad Gita: the Gita Makaranadam by Swami Vidya Prakashananda, as well as almost all of Swami Vivekananda’s work.
When I considered starting the project of spreading the Bhagavad Gita, I was always very clear that, as it preaches, it had to be done following the principles of Karma Yoga, the path of selfless action, that is, doing it because it is my Dharma at this moment in my life, but without seeking the fruits of the action: And that spirit of Karma Yogi, so important in the Gita, together with following my Dharma in this phase of my life, are the reasons for offering this free version so that these teachings can reach the majority of the Spanish-speaking population. It is giving back to society part of what it has given me. Differences with the book “The Yoga of Wisdom (Bhagavad Gita)” The book “The Yoga of Wisdom (Bhagavad Gita)” is composed of 3 parts (or books; "Libro" in Spanish):
This translation presented in free e-book format contains only the Spanish translation of the Gita According to Gandhi and does not contain:
The book “The Yoga of Wisdom” has 431 pages in DIN-A4 format while this ebook has 112 pages. If you liked this translation, I invite you to purchase the book at Amazon. By purchasing it you will be helping me spread the sacred teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.
I also wanted to share with you two projects I am working on related to this translation of Gandhi's Gita:
Both will be available for free on my website and on Youtube. It would be dishonest of me not to say that for many seekers, reading the Bhagavad Gita alone is complex, and may generate many doubts or even misinterpretations of certain verses, since it is necessary to contextualize and explain the Gita beyond the verses, as I do in part II of my book “The Yoga of Wisdom.” If you wish to better understand these sublime teachings, I invite you to purchase the book or participate in the courses I teach. All the profits from the book will help me spread the Gita. If this project of spreading the Gita touch you, help me spread it! Thank you so much, Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti Pedro Nonell (Director of the Gita Institute). |
