Free versified adaptation of the Bhagavad GitaBook III Bhagavad Gita (Pedro Nonell): imagine that you are present in KurukshetraThis third book presents a Free versified adaptation of the Bhagavad Gita based on the translation of the first book. Sometimes the original reading of the Bhagavad Gita can be too dense, distracting us from its profound message. I recommend that once you have read and meditated on the Bhagavad Gita, and also read the second book, the reader reads this version at a leisurely pace. I would suggest that the reader imagine that he is a passive participant present in the field of Kurukshetra (Yoga Despondency of Arjuna), the war field where the Bhagavad Gita takes place. Try to close your eyes and imagine that you are experiencing this moving dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna in situ. To facilitate the reader's challenge of “placing oneself in Kurukshetra”, the first chapter has included several illustrations that will help better imagine the setting of the Bhagavad Gita, all of them created by Mahavir Prasad Mishra. I have always imagined Krishna in this dialogue acting in an almost paternal way with Arjuna, as if he were his son, speaking to him with love and tenderness. Quite the opposite of Wotan, a spiteful and vengeful God, before the Valkyrie. This is what I have tried to convey in this free adaptation. The comments of Gandhi and Swami Sivananda have also been maintained, my advice is that the reader imagines them as if they were two observers present in Kurukshetra, two Swamis (teachers) who reflect timelessly on the words of Sri Krishna to later explain them to their disciples, in this case to the reader. I sincerely hope that this free adaptation is to the reader's liking. Thank you very much, Pedro Nonell. Author of the Book «The Yoga of Wisdom».
